Get Recruiters to Find Your Resume

Monday, August 9th, 2010

LinkedIn allows you to connect to individuals within your professional network online. It also lets you connect with individuals who are connected to their professional network. Therefore, your database knows no boundaries.  The site gives you the ability to post your resume (complete with links and buzzwords) as search-engine friendly, give and receive recommendations, build a reference list and post updates about yourself.

LinkedIn has become a comprehensive tool with versatile features.

  • Sync your blog to your LinkedIn account.
  • Follow companies, keeping tabs on their activities
  • Follow your twitter network through LinkedIn with a new feature called “Tweets.”
  • Relay your twitter updates directly to LinkedIn.

Aside from visibility within LinkedIn, your information is also on the web. If someone googles “Jane Doe” and Jane Doe has a LinkedIn account, her results will be displayed.  Who needs members-only databases and password protected uploads when you can have it all at your finger tips.
