Reporting directly to the Manager of Engineering and Enterprise Projects, the Web Developer (Professional Services) will be responsible for the creation of new software features for clients during pre-implementation of  industry-leading and award winning Software-as-a-Service offering for the Staffing and Recruiting industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development of client-specific web-based applications, systems integration, website development, and custom application development.
  • Act as an individual contributor on the team, designing, specifying and developing software components and/or applications.
  • Develop both front and back end applications using a variety of platforms.
  • Interface with Implementation, Product Development, Sales and customers.

Required Skills:

  • Must have a Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering or related field required
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of software development experience
  • Must have experience developing web-based applications.
  • Must have direct experience with User Interface design using CSS, DHTML and JavaScript
  • Must have direct experience programming in one or more of the following languages
  • C#
  • Java
  • ColdFusion
  • Must have database programming experience, preferably Microsoft SQL Server
  • Must have strong object oriented design skills
  • Must have solid oral and written presentation skills and a demonstrated ability to clearly articulate and defend design decisions to a wide audience.

Histotechnologist – days

Brine Group is currently recruiting around a day Histotechnologist position at a hospital-based clinical lab in southeastern Connecticut.

This is a 4-people lab that is growing. Routine histology, special stains, and IHC.

This position is responsible for:

  • Checking identification and preparing surgical specimens for gross examination by pathologist.
  • Loading  surgical specimens in Autotechnicon and setting/checking time setting.
  • Short accessions surgical specimens for frozen sections and other urgent procedures.
  • Maintaining positive specimen identification throughout specimen processing.
  • Cutting & embedding surgical specimens using rotary microtome.
  • Deparaffinizes cut sections and performs H&E staining.
  • Performing various special stains.
  • Examining specimens to determine that they meet established standards.
  • Coordinating slides and pathology reports, and takes to pathologist for diagnosis.
  • Preparing and maintains reagents, solutions and stains, according to standard formula.

The ideal candidate would have at least one year of experience in histological techniques, HT or HTL (ASCP) certification.
