Automated Chemistry SupervisorSchedule: M â F, 10a â 6:30p, w/e rotation 1 out of every 5Location: 15 miles southwest of Boston, MAOur client is a large, multi-site, multi-specialty physician practice. As a matter of fact, I recruited the current Lab Director 10 years ago for this organization. This Director helped this organization build a brand new, state-of-the-art Lab a few years ago. Our client offers great benefits, including up to 8% company retirement contribution The Automated Chemistry Supervisor will oversee 9 FTE's. Directs and coordinates daily operations of the Chemistry Lab. Responsibilities include recruiting, interviewing, selecting, orienting and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; reviewing personnel actions of subordinates and addressing complaints and resolving problems. Reviews and approves final test results and quality control results. Attests to the validity and accuracy of the results. Performs daily quality control and monitors on-going results. Provides laboratory expertise and guidance to staff and serves as internal consultant on technical issues. You will also function as a medical technologist.Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in medical laboratory science or equivalent preferred. Certified Medical Technologist (ASCP) preferred or equivalent certification. Will accept meeting the federal requirements of CLIA 88 qualifications for laboratory supervisor. 5+ years of experience as medical technologist with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in a laboratory environment. Demonstrated organizational, leadership, and teamwork skills. Strong analytical, problem resolution and business judgment skills. Must be proficient with Excel & Word and have a general experience working with LIS products. Must be able to multi-task.
